Supernova SN2012aw in M95

Although not a star cluster, this "new" star first appeared in mid-March 2012 in M95, about 38 million light years away. The image was taken with Frank Martin using his RCOS 12.5 inch F/9 Ritchey-Chreitien telescope, SBIG STL11000 CCD from Phoenix, Arizona.
